Cave Theater in Maine“HGTV features local home theater installation on episode of Million Dollar Rooms”

The Bat Cave themed home theater designed and installed by DC Home Systems of Portsmouth is featured in an episode of Million Dollar Rooms now airing on HGTV. Nick Mark, the President of DC Home Systems and designer of this truly unique space, was contacted last spring by the producers of the popular program which features detailed tours of “world’s most lavish and distinctive homes”.

“This is a rare opportunity to get more than a sneak peek into a one of a kind in-home theater that combines dramatic architectural detail with best-of-class entertainment technology” said Nick at a recent event. “The experience of the room is nothing short of amazing and is my favorite project of the past 20 years,” continued Nick.

In the segment, which airs six times in October and November, Nick speaks to the elaborate design and craftsmanship in the room which includes subterranean walls, embedded gems, dripping stalactites and lifelike bats and bugs. He then demonstrates the technologies, including a custom made movie screen, an Italian projector with a 35 pound lens and German made motorized leather seating. The combination of realistic cave details and state-of-the-art technologies create an unrivaled viewing experience.
